Aqua Sphereing is the latest activity that’s taking the world of adrenaline hunters by storm. You and your special guest will squeeze inside a giant inflatable sphere before rolling down a steep hill. Oh, nearly forgot: there’s about 30 litres of water in there with you to keep things nice and slippery.
Because everything is smooth, slidey and bouncy, there’s no need for a harness. That’s right: you’ll be tossed around like a pair of green leaves in a salad dryer.
Before you enter the globe via its specially designed stretchy opening, you’ll be given a quick lesson in the art of Aqua Sphereing. Granted, it’s not so much a skill than a knack of avoiding each other’s pointy bits.
If romantic dinners aren’t your style, or you don’t fancy another trip to the local art gallery with your bezzy buddy, Aqua Sphereing might be the solution!
So, if you’ve ever dreamt of being inside a washing machine (and who hasn’t, right?), here’s your chance to try it out for real. Make sure you’re comfortable getting a bit wet and wild with your guest – there’ll be a lot of screaming and grabbing hold of things during the ride.
What happens on the day?
You’ll be able to spot the Aqua Sphereing site from miles away. Just look for the biggest, steepest hill and head towards it. Once you arrive, you’ll have a quick lesson in how to ‘ride’ the sphere and then it’s straight in before you have a chance to change your mind. The ride will only last a few seconds, but you can expect to be very wet when you reach the bottom of the hill. This experience is weather dependent and runs from April to September. Your voucher is valid for 10 months, all week round, including weekends. This isn't recommended for the elderly or anyone in poor health; the experience is similar to a fairground ride.
