Description
You’ve done everything else to be like Gary Numan. You’ve got the haircut, you’ve got the synth. Only one thing left. The pilot license. Take a step in the right direction with this introductory flying lesson.

You’ve been on a plane, you know how it’s done. You sit there, get up, occasionally serve drinks and hand out pretzels. Flying seems to be a doddle. Right, what you’ve done there is mix up flight attendants with pilots. Actually flying the plane is a bit more involved than that.

As you will learn when you take this introductory flying lesson at one of 44 locations around the country. It’s just like driving a car, but in the sky. And it has wings. And no boot. But it does have an expert pilot, who will show you all the exciting knobs and dials and what they are capable of doing.

After a quick fiddle around the cockpit (please, grow up), you’ll be taken skywards, into the sky! There your flying ace will teach you all there is to know about staying up there successfully, like birds do. And if they feel you are up to it, you’ll get to take the controls for a spell. Then you’ll be flying the plane! You! Who can’t even push a shopping trolley in the right direction.

For a great thrill and a new skill that could lead to a lifelong passion, try this exhilarating introductory flying lesson at an aerodrome near you.
What happens on the day?
This great introduction to flying and is available at loads of places across the UK. So unless you live on the Isle of Miles Away, you should be fine. Upon arrival at the aerodrome you will be given a briefing on the principles of light aircraft flying. Then you’ll head to the airplane for a general familiarisation of the cockpit layout and a rundown of the controls and where the parachutes are. After this it's up, up and away for a flight of a lifetime! If the instructor feels confident that his new student is ready, you will even be able to take the controls and get the thrill of piloting the aircraft. Just like your hero Snoopy. Facilities and planes will vary between locations and the images used here are a guide only. Family and friends are welcome to come along and use the clubhouse for food and drinks. Then can even look at you flying by occasionally. You must become a member, free of charge, on the day to be covered by insurance.....
