Hot Air Balloon Flight Experience Days

Hot Air Balloons: Everything you need to know

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s one of Sir Richard Branson’s daft balloons, sailing over the rooftops.

If you’ve always dreamed of being suspended under a bag full of hot air, (insert mother-in-law joke here). With our hot air balloon experiences, you’ll enjoy an exciting ride in the balloon with some new chums, and you’ll have a chance to see how these enormous marvels are set up and inflated.

After all that thirsty work, you’ll be treated to a tasty glass of Champagne to toast your special occasion. Once you’ve landed, you’ll take home a certificate signed by Sir RB to prove you actually did it.

Our balloon flights can be booked at more than 100 locations all over the UK, so there’s sure to be one near to you. Don’t forget - UK delivery is always free, and you don’t have to decide on a date right now - pick up your voucher and call to book when you’re ready.

You can even give the voucher as a gift and let your companion choose when and where to fly: as long as the date falls between March and October, you’re laughing. Ha ha ha.

FAQs

Q: Where will we fly?
A: Upwards for a bit, then sideways for a bit. Then down, eventually. It really depends on the conditions. Your balloon-flying-person will pick a wonderful route around the launch location which lasts around an hour, but we can’t guarantee exactly where you’ll go or what you’ll see. It depends on the weather. (Speaking of weather, remember to call the operator the night before your flight and confirm that all’s well.)
Q: Is this a private flight?
A: No, it’s not a private flight. The voucher covers two attendees, but it’s likely you’ll share the flight with other people on the day. If you want to make a group booking for a special occasion, our VIP booking team are on hand to sort it all out for you, and we can even give you driving directions and details of hotels in the area. Just visit http://wish.co.uk/group-bookings/ to send us an email.
Q: How long does the flight last?
A: Normally an hour, but you’ll be at the venue for several hours while the team set up the equipment. You can give them a hand if you like. The time allotted to the experience also includes a safety briefing to make sure nobody dangles any of their dangly bits over the edge of the basket.
