Full Monty Tank Day
As soon as you arrive at the Full Monty experience, you’ll be chucked in the back of a FV432 Troop Carrier with your fellow comrades and whisked off to Base Camp. Well, that might be the wrong word – these massive tanks don’t quite reach the necessary speeds for ‘whisking’. But you can be sure nothing’s going to stop them once they get going.
At Base Camp, you’ll be briefed and issued with the latest in military high couture – a trusty camouflage suit and a sturdy helmet. The line up for the day varies according to how many are present and the mood of the head honcho, but here’s a sneak preview of what’s in store…
You will have the chance to personally take charge of four different kinds of hardcore military vehicles. This includes taking an almighty 56-ton tank for a spin and testing how its amphibious cousin fares in a water crossing. You’ll be taught how to fire a Flintlock Musket and a 17th century Mortar in a competition against other teams. Finally, you’ll be taught a few of the dark arts of the SAS before being pitted against your fellow players in the woods.
There’ll be points to win throughout the day and the overall leader wins a fitting prize: he or she will get the chance to balance that fearsome 56-ton Chieftain Main Battle Tank on top of a family saloon car!
