Description
There’s nothing like shooting straight up in the air to add some manic excitement to your life. And if there’s fast moving whirring blades involved as well, all the better. And a man in headphones who’ll probably be wearing sunglasses? Sign me up.
In this exhilarating experience, you’ll have five minutes in a airborne helicopter. On arrival at the airfield or helipad, you’ll be given a brief safety briefing, pointing out why you shouldn’t suddenly grab the controls ‘for a laugh’. Then you’ll be led to the craft. If you wish to recreate your favourite film/helicopter moments, like from Apocalypse Now, this would be a good time.
Then it’s straight up and no bother as you accelerate into the clouds. The pilot will take you on a mini-thrill ride, showing you the versatility and power of your new heli-friend. See salient landmarks, go over fields, hover near some stuff. You can run the full gamut with this one. After your experience, your thrills will be seeked, your heart will be pumped and I imagine your hairstyle will be slightly askew.

What happens on the day?
When you get to helicopter central, you will meet your pilot (call them Ace, they love that) and receive a brief technical and safety briefing - then it’s up, up and away as you accelerate vertically into the skies and beyond (you will not go beyond the skies). Your pilot will put the helicopter through its paces to show you just how versatile these incredible bladed machines really are. Watch the world pass beneath you before coming into land after a five minute adrenaline rush that is sure to be the envy of all your friends! ....Terms & Conditions
This voucher is valid for 10 months and is for one person. Maximum passenger weight is 18 Stone (114 kg) - please contact us if over 16 Stone (102 Kg). Minimum passenger age is 4 years (Under 12's must be accompanied on the flight by a fare-paying adult). We make every effort to help disabled passengers - please contact us for more information. Please note that you do not pilot the aircraft during this experience. The available locations are subject to change. Dates for this experience are subject to availability. If you pick the St Ives location, you'll only be able to depart for one week in June and one week in August.
