Description
Inside a stupendous Robinson R22 Beta aircraft (or similar) you’ll take the controls and fly this hovering beast, as a fully qualified and experienced pilot sits beside you. It’s a dual control craft, so you’ll be in safe hands.
Or if you don’t want to actually fly the thing but would rather just see what this whole helicopter business, so beloved by boy band members and reality TV stars, is all about, you can do that. Just enjoy 30 exhilarating minutes in the chopper, at a variety of helicentres around the country.
As well as a fully safety briefing, hopefully involving graphs and pointing, you’ll discuss a flight plan with your skipper who may, or may not, be wearing a hat. They usually seem to be wearing a hat on the telly and in films, but don’t know if that’s a requirement. You may take a home made one for them to wear if you wish.
Then during your aerial escapade, you’ll be shown everything this little beauty can do as you put it through its paces. Go up! Go down! Go across! All the manoeuvres known to science and man will be at your sweaty little fingertips. And once you’ve landed safely, you may be given a certificate to take home and lustily rub against your body with joy.
Don’t let the birds have all the fun. The ones that can fly at least. Not penguins. Try this 30 minute helicopter flight experience.
What happens on the day?
Your voucher is valid for 10 months. Your weight must not exceed 17 stone and your height must not exceed 6ft 4inches. We will check with devices. Larger helicopters are available at extra cost payable directly on when booking. None of them have Apocalypse Now style gun mounts. Tuition is usually in a Robinson R22 Beta. Actual flying time is around 25 mins. All training helicopters have dual controls so the instructor can safely demonstrate and monitor the handling of the aircraft and stop you doing that ‘trick’ you think you can do. All flight time counts towards a helicopter licence should you decide to continue training. Please book well in advance to ensure a mutually convenient time.....Terms & Conditions
