Yes! Walls are good, roofs are better. And you’ll see enough historic roofs to last a lifetime with this unique, exhilarating experience. Fulfill two lifelong dreams, ride in a helicopter and be quite high up, higher than even the finest step-ladder will allow.
With this thrilling aerial tour, you’ll travel to the heli-drome, approach the heli-pad and be given a heli-safety briefing about the things you shouldn’t do in the helicopter. Trampolining, barbequing, hopscotch, basic animal training. All those things are on the ‘no’ list.
Then it’s up, up and away in a modern Eurocopter. Not one of those comedy, old-fashioned flying machines, so beloved of stock footage enthusiasts. Depending on the weather, you’ll see some of London’s most famous landmarks and monuments. Tower Bridge, Tower of London, The Towers of London (the glam metal band), Tower records (except it closed down) and Officer Hightower from the Police Academy movies.
Don’t forget your camera as you witness these and other amazing London sights in a view usually only enjoyed by birds and people who are really good at jumping. Have a thrill and an eyeful with this exciting helicopter ride over London.
What happens on the day?
At the heliport, you’ll have a brief pre-flight briefing, then you are taken to the helicopter from which you will experience this amazing and unique view of London. Unless it’s really foggy, but it’s never foggy in London, never. This experience lasts roughly one hour with 30-40 minutes flight time. This voucher is valid for 10 months and is for one person. The experience is available most Saturday and Sundays throughout the year. The minimum age for this experience is 16 years. The maximum height is 6ft 6 and minimum height is 5ft. The maximum weight is 14 stone however the supplier may be able to accommodate you if you are slightly more than this - please ask at time of booking. Please make sure you bring some ID with you, as well as proof of your address - this is just for security reasons. Please note, there may be up to 5 other people in the helicopter with you.
