The sound of leather on willow. Look it’s a googly. There’s someone crouching at silly mid off. I loved my scout days. Oh and here’s a tour of the famous Lord’s cricket ground.

Cricket crazy types of all ages will love this tour at the home of the sport, in the beating heart of London. Well, not quite the heart, near the heart. More in the beating liver of London. But you will see tons of behind the scenes stuff.

Your trip to Lord’s kicks off at the MCC museum, where you will learn everything you ever wanted to know about the history of the sport. Plus you get to see the historic Ashes urn. If you’re Australian, that might be quite painful. Plus there are cricket paintings and artifacts from every era.

Next you’ll be taken through the world famous pavilion and into the legendary Long Room containing paintings of some the most famous cricketers in history. Tuffers, Athers, Buffers, Muffers, Heffy and Clint. You’ll see the lot. The Long Room also has amazing views of the remarkable Lord’s pitch.

Then it’s into the player’s dressing room where some of the sport’s most notable names have prepared for games. Names such as Tuffers, Athers, Buffers, Muffers, Heffy and Clint. After viewing the Board of Honour’s the visit ends in the Lord’s shop where you can pick up a variety of great cricketing items and souvenirs of your unforgettable day.

If you know a cricket nut, this is the perfect gift for them. Take them to see the home of cricket: Lord’s cricket ground.
What happens on the day?
Your tour will last for approximately 1 hour 40 minutes and will be led by a dedicated guide, because dedication is what you need. Especially if you want to be a record breaker. You start in the MCC museum where you can see the precious Ashes Urn and also view paintings, photography and artifacts which chronicle 400 years of Cricket History. That’s a lot of history! Makes football look like junk. Next you will walk through the heart of the Pavillion to the famous Long Room which contains portraits of the game's best known figures and has some stunning views of the pitch. And is really long. You will also be able to see the players' dressing room and look at the Lord's Board of Honours. Perhaps you’ll see your name up there. If you were ever honoured in cricket. The tour ends at the Lord's shop where you can purchase an exclusive souvenir of your day!....
