Description
I know you love your Renault Megane. We all do. But isn’t it a bit too…small? And lacking in wheels. Sate your thirst for big rig motoring with this truck driving experience.
Truck driving isn’t all blockading ports and taking up all the spaces on the motorway services forecourt. Manoeuvring one of these big metal road whales takes skill and adrenaline pumping concentration.
On this heart-pounding adventure, you will man a powerful 480bhp DAF tractor unit, coupled to a 55ft Racecar Transporter around our track. But you won’t just be going forward. Heaven forbid! There will be a variety of skills you’ll need to grasp including reversing and weaving through cones. Yes, cones!
Don’t panic and cry and rush away like a tiny little girl. A professional HGV instructor will be right beside you at all times. In the cab, in the canteen, on the ride home and then forever more, as long as you both shall live. Ah, isn’t that sweet. He’ll show you how to deal with all 16 gears and where the jazz mags go.
At the end of the experience, you’ll be given a certificate which will say, roughly, I have driven a truck and I lived to tell the tale. Then you can drive away, which might feel a bit weird as you’ve just been driving a great big lorry. But don’t worry, you’ll soon get back to normal. And if you don’t you can either take the experience again or train to be a lorry driver. The best lorry driver in the whole wide world.

What happens on the day?
When you get to the venue you’ll be greeted by your qualified HGV instructor, who will lead you to your powerful 480bhp DAF tractor unit – which is attached to a massive Racecar Transporter. Nice. Once in the cab you will receive a short briefing, before its time to put this 55ft monster through its paces! By which we mean drive it. You will spend approximately 10-15 minutes driving the truck, then you’ll be presented with a truck driving certificate, at a glittering presentation ceremony. Or possibly just outside the truck. Expect to spend up to 2 hours at the venue in total.....Terms & Conditions
This voucher is valid for 10 months and is for one person. This experience will include driver registration and welcome, an in-cab briefing, 10-15 minutes driving a DAF XF 480bhp tractor unit and Racecar Trailer and a truck driving experience certificate. You should allow 2 hours for your experience. This experience is available on selected dates from April. Dates for this experience are subject to availability. If you have a specific date in mind, feel free to call us on 020 8275 5256 to check it's available. You must possess a full UK driving licence to participate. Minimum age is 17 years. Minimum height - 5’0ft. You may not consume alcohol before or during your experience. Participants are required to wear trainers or soft-soled shoes. Spectators are welcome, and if they bring their driving licence they may also drive on the day at an additional fee (subject to availability).
